Janson and Raimondi conjure up ‘Sacred Creatures’ in July

Image Comics shares more details and a Frank Miller cover for the supernatural conspiracy title.

Image Comics took the opportunity at Emerald City Comicon last month to drop a ton of announcements about upcoming comics and projects — one of those being a new supernatural series, Sacred Creatures, by Pablo Raimondi and Klaus Janson.

This week they’ve shared a few more details on what to expect from the series in a press release

“Years in the making, Sacred Creatures is the culmination of all the things I love about comics: amazing art, compelling characters, and a story that will make readers return month after month,” Janson said in the press release. “I’m so proud of this series!”

Here’s how Image describes the series:

In Sacred Creatures, supernatural forces maintaining the fragile balance of power in this world begin to unravel. At the center of it all, readers meet Josh Miller, a young college grad and expecting father, caught in the middle of a vast conspiracy threatening to tear apart the foundations of humanity. As myth and reality collide, Josh finds himself on the frontline of a battle against an enemy dating back to the beginning of time itself.

Raimondi added: “I honestly can’t believe Klaus has put up with me for this long. It must be ’cause the book is really freaking good.”

Sacred Creatures will launch with “a monster-sized first issue” in July featuring 66 pages of full-color art and covers by Raimondi, Janson and one of Janson’s classic collaborators, Frank Miller. Check them out below.
