Fabio Moon has a lovely new poster for NYCC

The ‘Daytripper’ artist adapts a Walt Whitman poem for the convention.

For this week’s New York Comic Con, artist Fabio Moon has designed a new poster he’ll have at his table in Artist Alley (L1-L2).

Moon took a poem by Walt Whitman and gave it a cosplay spin, in comics form:

“I’m working on Casanova, and other projects, and none of them is coming out this year (well, the Hellboy Winter Special is, but still), and sometimes you just want to make something that you can put out in the World, to reflect the moment, your moment, your thoughts and feelings. And I chose a Walt Whitman little poem that I liked, that reflected these feeling I have, and I created this little story around it,” Moon wrote on his blog.

Along with Gabriel Ba, the duo will also have Daytripper prints, a new Umbrella Academy poster and a How to Talk to Girls at Parties poster — so if you’re attending the convention this weekend, be sure to stop by. New York Comic Con runs Oct. 4-7 at the Javits Center
