Image Comics’ 25th anniversary also marks the 25th one for the studios that formed around the seven creators who formed the publisher — including Jim Lee’s WildStorm. To celebrate this milestone, DC Comics will publish WildStorm: A Celebration of 25 Years, which is due out in August.
Jim Lee was at WonderCon this weekend to discuss the imprint and this new project.
The oversized hardcover collection will include both reprints of previous WildStorm stories, as well as new stories from some of the imprint’s past creative teams. These include:
- A WildCATS story from Jim Lee and Brandon Choi,
- A Gen13 tale from J. Scott Campbell,
- THE AUTHORITY story from Warren Ellis and Bryan Hitch, and
- A BACKLASH short from Brett Booth.
It’ll also include pinups by John Cassaday, Tim Sale, Fiona Staples, Adam Hughes, Carlos D’Anda, Lee Bermejo and Ryan Benjamin, as well as behind-the-scenes material. Check out the cover and some of the pinups below:
