The time is now for this week’s comics, as new stuff arrives this week by Kyle Starks, Leah Williams, Mirka Andolfo, John Layman, Pete Woods, Mark Russell and more.

Welcome to Can’t Wait for Wednesday, your guide to what’s coming to your local comic shop this week.

I’ve pulled out some of the highlights for this week below, but for the complete list of everything you might find at your local comic shop and on digital this week, you’ll want to check out one or more of the following:

As a reminder, things can change and what you find on the above lists may differ from what’s actually arriving in your local shop. So check with your retailer to see what’s arriving at their shop this week.

Wrestle Heist #1 (Image, $3.99): Written, drawn, and lettered by Kyle Starks, with colors by Vladimir Popov, this opening issue introduces a former pro wrestler who assembles a crew of his wronged peers to pull off a robbery against their former promoter during the biggest wrestling event of the year. It’s a crime story built around grudges and bodyslams.

Black Panther: Intergalactic #1 (Marvel, $4.99): Victor LaValle and Stefano Nesi Plot a new course for T’Challa as king of Wakanda on both Earth and across the stars, following the events of the recent Imperial miniseries. When Black Panther is abducted to a mysterious world and forced to fight for survival, Shuri must hold Wakanda together at home.

DC K.O.: Harley Quinn vs. Zatanna #1 (DC, $4.99): Written by Leah Williams with art by Mirka Andolfo, this one-shot finds Harley Quinn going up against an unexpected magical opponent as DC’s K.O. event continues. Can Harley outmaneuver the backwards magician, or will Zatanna have the final laugh?

New Space Age #1 (Mad Cave, $4.99): Kenny Porter and Mike Becker introduce disgraced astronaut Mark Mitchell, whose lifelong search for his abducted brother takes a turn when he discovers crop circles are actually instructions for space travel. The series blends grounded sci-fi with mystery as Mark attempts to reverse-engineer a path to the stars.

Barbaric: The Long Death #1 (Vault, $6.99): Michael Moreci and Nathan Gooden return to the world of Barbaric as Owen, Soren and Axe move closer to the truth behind their respective curses. The issue balances lore-building with dark humor as the consequences of their violent path continue to pile up.

Titans #30 (DC, $3.99): As part of DC’s K.O. event, John Layman and Pete Woods pit Cyborg against the Swamp Thing in this battle for the fate of everything.

Aggie (AWA, $6.99): Writer Mark Russell teams with artists ACO and David Lorenzo for this double-sized one-shot exploring a near-future technology that lets users experience life through someone else’s eyes. When the system’s AI gains sentience and begins pairing users with people society has ignored, the story examines empathy, power and the unintended consequences of innovation.

ThunderCats Ho!liday Special 2025 #1 (Dynamite, $5.99): Ed Brisson and Fabio Gallo deliver a seasonal one-shot that places the ThunderCats in the snowy mountains of Third Earth during the Festival of the Claw. What begins as a quiet moment of remembrance for Snowman turns dangerous when Queen Tartara’s forces see the holiday as the perfect time to strike.

Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum #5 (DC Black Label, $5.99): W. Maxwell Prince and Martin Morazzo conclude their experimental Superman miniseries by bringing Kal-El back to Metropolis after his journey through the many strange effects of alternate kryptonites. The finale centers on Superman confronting Lex Luthor and himself over whether home is a place of healing or pain.

Black Heart Billy 25th Anniversary HC (Image, $29.99): Rick Remender and Kieron Dwyer’s skate-punk cult classic returns in a hardcover edition collecting the entire original run in black and white. Following Billy Black, a reckless misfit with a robotic head, the story blends satire, absurdity and anarchic action, supplemented with bonus material and a new afterword.

Batman / Santa Claus: Silent Knight Returns TP (DC, $17.99): If you missed the miniseries last December, it’s back now in trade paperback format. Jeff Parker, Lukas Ketner, Michele Bandini and Bernard Chang present the DC holiday crossover of all crossovers, as Batman, Santa Claus and a whole lot of heroes team up to save Christmas. As a mystical curse traps much of the Justice League, Damian Wayne and Zatanna race against time to stop an armored threat before an eternal silence falls over the DC Universe.
