The NAACP has released the nominees for the 57th NAACP Image Awards, which now includes an “Outstanding Literary Work – Graphic Novel” category.
The awards annually recognize the achievements and performances of people of color in film, television, music, literature and more, honoring artistic excellence, authentic storytelling, and the promotion of social justice and cultural representation.
The NAACP added the graphic novel category in 2024. Punk Rock Karaoke by Bianca Xunise won the award last year.
