Image Comics and James Tynion IV’s Tiny Onion imprint will release Odin, a nine-issue horror miniseries co-written by Tynion IV and Marguerite Bennett with art by Letizia Cadonici, beginning in May.
They’re joined on colors by Jordie Bellaire and letters by Tom Napolitano, with Alex Eckman-Lawn providing covers for the series.
The concept grew out of a text exchange between the two writers.

“It all started as a text conversation about a group of white supremacists we’d seen a story about online, talking about their faith in Odin, and then we started talking about what the real Norse Odin would do with these idiots if he had the chance,” Tynion said. “It felt pretty immediately clear that there was a mean and brutal horror story in it and we wanted to tell it together.”
The series follows Adela, a thrill-seeking journalist who goes undercover to report on a band of Neo Nazis who travel to the frozen forests of Norway seeking Odin to fulfill their white supremacist destiny (as one does). What they find in the woods is something far older and stranger than anything they bargained for.
“The plain truth is I hope it fucks people up, ups their pucker factor, puts ice in the pit of their stomach,” Bennett said said. “The dread, doom and desolation is truly unrelenting. We are on a death march through the frozen bowels of the ninth hell.”
Cadonici, who previously worked on House of Slaughter for Tiny Onion, said the scripts made her job straightforward.
“Working on James and Marguerite’s script is extremely easy, which is how you understand that they are great writers,” she said. “They’ve created an incredible cast of characters, each with their own personality, and I’m having a blast bringing out the essence of each of them.”
The first issue will feature variant covers by Cadonici, Christian Ward, Martin Simmonds and Jae Lee:
