‘Skinner’ crash-lands next May

The original graphic novel about a killer stalking internet celebrities will be published by Dark Horse Comics.

Dark Horse has announced a new horror graphic novel coming your way next year — Skinner, which is written by two video game veterans, Micky Neilson and Samwise Didier.

“Sam and I are both huge horror fans,” Neilson said. “Skinner is our love letter to the genre.”

They’ll be joined by the art team of Piotr Kowalski, colorist Dennis Calero and letterer Frank Cvetkovic. Didier, who is currently Blizzard Entertainment’s senior art director, drew the cover:

‘Hotel REM’ awakens at Dark Horse next year

Zack Keller, Gabriele Bagnoli, Valerio Alloro and Frank Cvetkovic check into a hotel for dreams in March.

Former Unikitty! and Telltale Games writer Zack Keller will team with artist Gabriele Bagnoli, colorist Valerio Alloro and letterer Frank Cvetkovic on Hotel REM, an all-ages graphic novel coming from Dark Horse in 2023.

The fantastical Hotel REM is the place your dreams go when you’re awake. It’s run by Rembrandt Somner, who runs into problems when a difficult celebrity guest arrives.

“I have literally been dreaming about this story for over a decade so I’m thrilled readers can finally come visit this wild and wonderful hotel in book-form thanks to Dark Horse,” Keller said.

Sevy’s ‘biggest, boldest, craziest story’ ‘Triage’ coming in September

New series from Dark Horse features a nurse fighting for survival on a strange world.

Phillip Sevy of Tomb Raider and The House fame is set to debut his first creator-owned series from Dark Horse, Triage, later this year. The series features a nurse who wakes up on another world and has to work with two strangers to survive being hunted.

“For my first creator-owned book, I wanted to try and the deliver the biggest, boldest, and craziest story I could through the lens of one singular vision,” said Sevy in the press release. “In Triage, I wanted to go as big and as personal as possible. From writing to penciling to inking to coloring (with amazing letters by Frank Cvetkovic), I’ve been killing myself to deliver a story that is exciting, fun, audacious, and human. Evie has become one of my favorite characters I’ve got to work with. At its core, Triage is about discovering your identity amidst the chaos and enormities of the world around you.”

‘The Once and Future Queen’ imagines King Arthur as a chess champ

Adam P. Knave, D.J. Kirkbride and Nickolas Brokenshire update Arthurian legend in a new comic coming from Dark Horse next March.

The team behind the MonkeyBrain/IDW series Amelia Cole is putting the band back together for a new series that ties into the legend of King Arthur.

Dark Horse Comics announced today The Once and Future Queen, a five-issue miniseries by Adam P. Knave, D.J. Kirkbride and Nickolas Brokenshire, along with letterer Frank Cvetkovic. Per the release, a teen named Rani Arturus travels to the UK to compete in a chess championship, where she finds the sword Excalibur and meets a “surprisingly modern” Merlin.
