Comics Lowdown: Stan Lee’s former caretaker charged with elder abuse

Stan Lee’s former caretaker and manager, Keya Morgan, has been charged with felony elder abuse. The charges include felony counts of false imprisonment of an elder adult, theft, embezzlement, and forgery or fraud against an elder adult, according to the Los Angeles Superior Court.

A warrant for Morgan’s arrest had been issued. The 43-year-old memorabilia collector was served with a restraining order by Lee’s family last summer, when they accused him of elder abuse. Lee passed away in November.

New Punisher, Loki titles to follow ‘War of the Realms’

Both titles kick off in July.

Marvel’s latest crossover event, the Thor-themed War of the Realms, just kicked off last week, but the publisher is already revealing its plans for what comes after the event ends.

Announced on the company’s website are two new titles spinning out of the War — a new Loki title by Daniel Kibblesmith and Oscar Bazaldua, and Punisher Kill Krew by Gerry Dugan and Juan Ferreyra.

‘Agents of Atlas’ returns with new creative team, new line-up

Greg Pak and Gang-Hyuk Lim bring a new team of Asian heroes together to fight in the ‘War of the Realms.’

Marvel is reviving their Agents of Atlas title as part of its War of the Realms crossover event. The title will feature a new team of characters — many appearing in comics for the first time — and a new creative team.

Greg Pak and Gang-Hyuk Lim will bring the concept back to life, pulling in characters from several different sources. The agents will help protect the Pacific Rim from an invasion by Sindr, Immortal Queen of Muspelheim, and her legions of Fire Demons. Almost all of the characters who appeared in Pak’s Totally Awesome Hulk as “The Protectors” — Shang-Chi, Silk, Amadeus Cho (who goes by “Brawn” these days over in Champions) and Jimmy Woo — will appear, along with several characters from the Marvel video game Future Fight.
