Victor Santos has drawn a spy comic for Porsche Club of America

The creator of ‘Polar’ teams with author Alma Katsu for a comic about Cold War spies and vintage cars.

Polar creator Victor Santos has teamed up with author Alma Katsu for an unusual project — a comic for Porsche Panorama, the official publication of the Porsche Club of America.

Called “The Spy Collector,” the comic is “a globe-skirting, Porsche-centric fictional spy tale involving a recently deceased vintage Porsche collector who took to the grave a Cold War-era secret that remains dangerous enough in the present to kill for.”

‘Walking Dead’ surprisingly ends — on a positive note

Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard bring the series to a fitting end.

Wow.

As you might have heard, today’s issue of The Walking Dead, #193, is also the series finale. News broke earlier in the week about this surprise twist, which was confirmed by writer Robert Kirkman and Image Comics publisher Eric Stephenson.

“I’ll say it again, I love (loved… oh, god, I’m not ready for past tense) writing this series. I really don’t want it to end. In fact, I’ve been… kind of unsettled since I wrote the script for this issue. The whole thing just feels… weird,” Kirkman said. “In a way, killing this series has been a lot like killing a major character. Much, much harder… but the same feeling. I don’t WANT to do it. I’d rather keep going… but the story is telling me what it wants and what it needs. This needs to happen. Whether I want it or not.”

H1 navigates toward ‘Strangelands’ [Preview]

New series by Magdalene Visaggio, Darcie Little Badger, Guillermo Sanna and Mike McKone launches July 10.

Following the launch of Ignited last month, Humanoids’ new H1 line continues its rollout this month with Strangelands, a new title by writers Magdalene Visaggio and Darcie Little Badger, artist Guillermo Sanna and cover artist Mike McKone.

In Strangelands, “Two strangers find themselves inextricably tied together by inexplicable superpowers. Fighting their connection could mean destroying the world. Opposites attract? Elakshi and Adam Land aren’t married. In fact, a month ago, they were perfect strangers, dwelling in lands foreign to one another. But now, they’re forced to remain by one another’s side, for their separation could mean the planet’s demise. Their greatest challenge is to stay together — even if they have to tear the world apart to do so.”

The first issue arrives in comic shops July 10. Check out a preview below.
