WWE Champion Kofi Kingston was on hand at Comic-Con International yesterday to announce a new graphic novel featuring the band of brothers known as The New Day.
Kingston showed up at the BOOM! Studios panel, where he apparently joined panelists like Kieron Gillen and Lilah Sturges at the table … or, actually, on top of the table:
Only at Comic-Con, right? The graphic novel starring Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods will arrive in 2020, with a cover by Daniel Bayliss. No word on who the creative team will be for the OGN.
“There are few modern WWE Superstars with a greater legacy than The New Day – and as they’ve shown this year, there’s no ceiling to what Kofi, Xavier and Big E can accomplish,” said Chris Rosa, Editor, BOOM! Studios. “WWE: The New Day is the first time fans will get an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at their journey to the top of the proverbial mountain and we can’t wait to share more news with fans soon!”
WWE.com interviewed Kingston after the panel, and here’s what he had to say — citing that he was a fan of BOOM! titles like Power Rangers and Irredeemable:
