Titan Comics and Heroic Signatures, who own the Robert E. Howard stable of characters, will team up for a new Solomon Kane title coming next year.
Solomon Kane joins the myriad of Conan titles that Titan is currently producing, and the character appeared in the recent Conan-centered crossover series Battle of the Black Stone. Patrick Zircher will write, draw and color the series, he confirmed on BlueSky.
Mike Mignola did the first issue’s cover:
Zircher showed a couple of pages form the project as well:
If you aren’t familiar with Solomon Kane, he’s a “dour English Puritan and redresser of wrongs” who travels the world in the 17th century battling evil. His pulp adventures, written by Howard, regularly appeared in Weird Tales magazine, and made his way to comics in the 1970s and 1980s, courtesy of Marvel Comics. Dark Horse also published a couple of miniseries featuring the character around the time they had the license to Conan the Barbarian.
Look for the first issue of the new series in March.
