Mark Millar and Rafael Albuquerque will return to the small-town heroics of Huck later this year, as Dark Horse will publish the six-issue sequel miniseries Huck: Big Bad World beginning in May. They’re joined by colorist Dave McCaig and letterer Clem Robins.
The original Huck miniseries kicked off in 2015 and was published by Image Comics. The story centered on a man with super powers living in a small town who took it upon himself to do one good deed a day. Things go awry when the rest of the world discovers Huck and his mom.
“Stoked to team up again with Mark on the sequel of our very first collaboration,” Albuquerque said. “I missed these characters so much, and about 10 years later, returning to them still feels fresh and exciting.”
Dark Horse shared more details on the new miniseries, where Huck and his mom discover they might not be the only super-powered folks in the world:
After being exposed as a super-powered person and hunting down the doctor who gave him—and his mother—their powers, it would seem like Huck could finally get back to the simple life he’d come to love, making folks in his small town feel safe and cared for by doing one good deed a day and being the real change anyone would want to see in the world. But then a mysterious man tells him he and his mother aren’t the ONLY super-people out in the world; many are hiding, just like them.
The first issue of six will arrive in stores May 14.
