The annual Shortbox Comics Fair has returned, offering digital comics in a variety of genres from artists all over the world. It runs through Oct. 31.
The fair is curated by Zainab Akhtar, who used to run the Shortbox comic imprint, and published and sold print comics up until February of last year. The spirit of the imprint continues with the fair, which offers a wide selection of really cool comics by both veteran and up-and-coming indie creators. You can find previews of each of them on the site.

New (I think) this year is the ability to buy every single comic in one fell swoop — at the bottom of the page, you’ll find the “Every single SBCF 2025 comic” option for £997.89 — or more than $1,300. If you’re not looking to drop more than a grand, individual comics cost anywhere from £2 to £15 (although the most expensive selection, Song of the Seabirds by Narsid, is 134 pages … so it’s more like getting a graphic novel than a single comic).
Anyway, the fair runs through Oct. 31, and after that the comics will be gone — so be sure to head over to the site this month and check out what’s available.
