In ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Shiver of Christmas Town,’ Sally must protect Dr. Finkelstein’s newest creation from Lock, Shock, and Barrel.

Dynamite Entertainment will revisit Halloween Town next year as they revisit Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in a brand-new four-issue series, The Shiver of Christmas Town.

Torunn Grønbekk, writer of Red Sonja, Thor, Venom and more, will take a deep dive not only into Halloween Town, but into its “sister city,” Christmas Town. Joining Grønbekk is artist Edu Menna, colorist Adriano Augusto and letterer Taylor Esposito.

The story follows Sally and the mischievous trio Lock, Shock, and Barrel as they care for Dr. Finkelstein’s latest creation—a creature unexpectedly adorable and full of surprises. Chaos ensues as the little monster winds up in the hands of the trio during their journey to Christmas Town.

NYCC | Dave Baker brings ‘Halloween Boy’ to Oni Press

The ‘Mary Tyler MooreHawk’ creator brings his self-published pulp epic to Oni in 2026.

Cartoonist Dave Baker is teaming with Oni Press for a new edition of his underground hit Halloween Boy.

Announced at New York Comic Con, Halloween Boy Vol. 1: Last of the Halloween Boys arrives in May 2026, collecting the first five self-published issues of Baker’s duotone sci-fi pulp adventure in hardcover for the first time, complete with a new cover.

The Mary Tyler MooreHawk creator described Halloween Boy as “a two-fisted adventurer for the post-superhero age.” It’s a high-concept, meta-pulp romp that mixes cosmic quests, interplanetary warfare and pulp heroics with a personal story about family and legacy.

“Does the book feature megalomaniacal villains, inter-planetary warfare, and classic pulp-inspired escapades? You bet,” Baker said in Oni’s announcement. “But it’s also a deeply personal reflection on family, fraternity, and purpose… I really wanted to re-construct the heroic iconography that lured me into this great medium as a child. To repurpose, remix, and rebuild the best aspects of these types of stories in a hyper-earnest and sincere way.”

The King of the Monsters teams up with the King in Black in a new five-issue cosmic rampage from Gerry Duggan, Javier Garrón and Ig Guara.

The King of the Monsters isn’t done with the Marvel Universe just yet. Marvel and Toho International announced at New York Comic Con this week that Godzilla: Infinity Roar, a new five-issue cosmic crossover, will launch in February of next year.

The series reunites writer Gerry Duggan and artist Javier Garrón, the creative team behind Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, and will also feature art by Ig Guara.

According to Marvel, Infinity Roar picks up after the events of Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, which concludes in November. In the new series, Earth’s heroes have succeeded in exiling Godzilla into space — but that victory may prove short-lived. Out among the stars, Godzilla encounters Knull, the god of the symbiotes, forming an unholy alliance between the King of the Monsters and the King in Black.
