Pedro Delgado and Brendan Tobin have once again brought the March MODOK Madness site back to life for another year of big-headed fan art featuring the Marvel character.
If you aren’t familiar with the concept, every March artists share their interpretations of MODOK, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, who was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee back in the 1960s. You can see them on the March MODOK Madness blog and on Twitter.
“We gather once more for thirty-one magnificent days of March,” Delgado wrote in their first post for 2021, “Driven by a need to flex our creative muscle and pay tribute to the delightfully devious Kirby creation that is MODOK. I wish to send much love and respect to my long time blogging cohort Brendan Tobin for sharing in the festivities once again this year. It’s always an inspiration. Submissions are also a driving force that keeps this event going year after year. So draw some MODOK, send it along with a byline and we’ll post them up until the calendar hits April.”
Visit the March MODOK Madness site all month for more artwork and to find out how you can contribute.
