I’m not sure when or where this was announced this past weekend, but Paul Azaceta has shared on social media and through his newsletter that he’s working with writer Rick Remender and colorist Matheus Lopes on The Seasons, which will be released through Remender’s Giant Generator imprint at Image Comics.

“We really have something we’re both proud and excited to be putting together for you,” Azaceta said in his newsletter. “Something new from us. IDW will release ‘Richard Stark’s Parker: The Martini Edition – Last Call’ in May

The second collection of Darwyn Cooke’s adaptations of Donald Westlake’s Parker novels will include ‘The Score’ and ‘Slayground.’

Before his untimely death in 2016, Darwyn Cooke blessed the world with a number of critically acclaimed comics and graphic novels, including four award-winning adaptations of Donald Westlake’s Parker novels. IDW will follow the release of Parker: The Martini Edition in 2011, which collected two of those graphic novels, with Parker: The Martini Edition – Last Call next May.

The second Martini Edition will collect The Score and Slayground in an oversized slipcase edition. It will also include more than 100 pieces of never-before-seen Parker art by Darwyn Cooke; a round table talk with Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillips, Bruce Timm and Scott Dunbier on Parker and Cooke; and a new 17-page story by Pulp and Criminal creators Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips.

Palmiotti, Cooke’s ‘The Adventures of Dutch Courage’ arrives in Chicago beer stores

Palmiotti and Cooke’s story appears across six labels of “an incredibly complex Session Ale brewed with Juniper Berries and Lemon Peel.”

Jimmy Palmiotti and Darwyn Cooke have brewed up a new six-panel story that draws inspiration from the old Charles Atlas ads that appeared in comics starting in the 1940s. But you won’t find it at your local comic shop today — you’ll only find it in Chicago-area liquor stores.

As a part of Chicago-based Arcade Brewery’s “6 Pack Stories” line of beer, Palmiotti and Cooke’s comic appears on labels of The Adventures of Dutch Courage, “an incredibly complex Session Ale brewed with Juniper Berries and Lemon Peel,” according to the brewery’s website. Each panel of the story appears on one of the six-pack’s bottles, so you’ll want to drink them in the right order. Volume one of Arcade’s 6 Pack Stories” featured a comic by Jason Aaron and Tony Moore, and was released in 2014.

According to a post on their Facebook page, the beer will be available at three locations today, followed by distribution around Chicago by the end of the week.
