Marvel reveals more stories + covers for ‘Spider-Man/Superman’

Their half of the crossover with DC will now include contributions from Stephanie Phillips, Phil Noto, Jeph Loeb, Jim Cheung and more.

Following their announcement last month of the preliminary line-up for the upcoming Spider-Man/Superman crossover, Marvel has announced two additional stories and several new variant covers for the one-shot.

Marvel announced a star-studded creative line-up for the anthology in January, including new stories by Brian Michael Bendis, Sara Pichelli, Dan Slott, Brad Meltzer, Pepe Larraz and, in his forst work for Marvel in quite awhile, Geoff Johns — among many others.

Joining them will be Stephanie Phillips and Phil Noto, whose story will feature Spider-Gwen: Ghost-Spider and Supergirl.

“Spider-Gwen and Supergirl both represent different kinds of strengths and powers, but they’re united by their compassion and resilience,” Phillips said. “I really loved the chance to let these heroes save the day together and have fun doing it. And Phil Noto on art just takes it to another level. Kara, Gwen and I are lucky to have him!”

Marvel announces the line-up for ‘Spider-Man/Superman’

The crossover one-shot arrives in April.

Following DC’s reveal of the creative teams working on Superman/Spider-Man, Marvel has now revealed the creators for their side of the crossover. Spider-Man/Superman will include stories by Brad Meltzer, Pepe Larraz, Dan Slott, Marcos Martin, Geoff Johns, Brian Michael Bendis and more.

Like the DC title — and the two Batman/Deadpool crossovers that proceeded it — Marvel’s title is also an anthology and will feature stories with not only Clark Kent and Peter Parker, but also Miles Morales, Steel, Gwen Stacy, Lana Lang, Wonder Woman, Jane Foster and more.

“I’ve been waiting 50 years to write this book,” Meltzer said. “Superman and Spider-Man have affected me more than most real people. I carry them with me everywhere — and our story cuts to the core of what it means to be a good person. I’m honored that Nick Lowe and everyone at Marvel even asked. Just wait until you see Pepe’s work. Get your capes and web-shooters ready…”

DC + Marvel have more crossovers planned for 2026

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of their first team-up, DC and Marvel will bring Superman and Spider-Man back together for more crossover madness.

If you enjoyed the recent Deadpool/Batman crossover between DC and Marvel, then here’s some good news — the two publishers will continue to work together in 2026, releasing both reprints of past crossovers as well as new stories.

It’s not a surprise, really, as Entertainment Weekly revealed that the two publishers had plans for 2026 back when Deadpool/Batman and November’s Batman/Deadpool were announced. And now we know what those plans include — two new crossover books featuring Superman and Spider-Man, as well as reprints, or “fascimile editions,” of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1 and Marvel Treasury Edition #28.
