Kickstarter is giving new life to several of their past campaigns, including seven of them from the comics category.
“Kickstarter Gold” brings back projects by creators who were “specially selected for their creativity, ingenuity and past success on Kickstarter,” the site reads. “We’re spotlighting them because they do excellent work — and because creators who repeatedly use Kickstarter to support and sustain creative ventures are an integral part of our community’s ecosystem.”
From June 20 to July 31, Kickstarter Gold will spotlight creators as they run new projects inspired by favorite rewards and ideas from their past campaigns. The 49 projects currently listed as Kickstarter Gold projects includes these seven from comic creators, who are doing things like adding new pages to their projects, remastering them or offering new merchandise:
Black: If successful, toner, Derwin Roberson will remaster the entire book for all backers.
Plume #1: If successful, backers will receive the first issue of the series from Devil’s Due Entertainment with a gold foil-stamped cover.
The Secret Loves of Geek Girls: Redux!: The already-successful campaign will bring to life another anthology featuring all the creators from the popular first edition.
Recurring Dreams of Herbert Crowley : Publisher Beehive Books has added a line of limited edition of archival giclée fine art prints as rewards.
Happily Ever Aftr The Graphic Novel: If successful, the creators will expand the story started in their first issue into a full graphic novel.
All-Star FUBAR: The new 220-page volume of the popular historical zombie comic will feature new work from Jeff McClelland, Jason Copland, Matt Miner and may more.
The Lions of Valletta Director’s Cut: The already-successful campaign will add new pages, footnotes and more to this charming comic about cats in Malta.
Head over to Kickstarter to see ALL the “Gold” projects, including a new prose “Choose Your Own Path” adventure from Squirrel Girl writer Ryan North or the Table Titans tabletop RPG set, based on the popular webcomic.
