Marvel announced a new X-Men crossover series is coming this summer, called X of Swords, at the big C2E2 convention in Chicago today.
The 15-part crossover will feature a bunch of mutants and a bunch of swords, if the promo art is to be believed:
X-Men writer Jonathan Hickman will head up X of Swords, with other writers from the X-Men line also contributing.
Here’s how Marvel.com describes the series:
Threatened by powerful forces from the unknown, ten mutants will rise up to defend their home. Arming themselves with legendary blades both new and familiar, mutantkind will finally meet its mystical destiny. Impacting the entire X-Men franchise and setting the stage for the future of mutantkind, X OF SWORDS will be a modern X-Men epic that both longtime and new X-Men fans can’t miss.
The crossover kicks off in July.
