Nominees announced for the 2022 Dragon Awards

The awards, which include categories for comics and graphic novels, have been presented annually during DragonCon since 2016.

The nominees have been announced for the 2022 Dragon Awards, which have been presented annually during DragonCon since 2016.

The awards include multiple categories for books, media tie-ins like movies and video games, and two categories for comics — “Best Comic Book” and “Best Graphic Novel.”

The nominees in the comics and graphic novel categories are:

Best Comic Book

  • Devil’s Reign by Chip Zdarsky, Marco Checchetto
  • King Conan by Jason Aaron, Mahmud Asrar
  • Immortal X-Men by Kieron Gillen, Mark Brooks
  • Step by Bloody Step by Simon Spurrier, Matías Bergara
  • Twig by Skottie Young, Kyle Strahm
  • Nightwing by Tom Taylor, Bruno Redondo

Best Graphic Novel

  • Geiger by Geoff Johns, Gary Frank
  • Bitter Root Volume 3 by David F. Walker, Chuck Brown, Sanford Greene, Sofie Dodgson
  • Dune: House Atreides Volume 2 by Brian Herbert, Kevin J. Anderson, Dev Pramanik
  • Wonder Woman Historia: The Amazons by Kelly Sue DeConnick, Phil Jimenez
  • Monstress, Volume 6: The Vow by Marjorie Liu, Sana Takeda
  • Saga by Brian K. Vaughan, Fiona Staples

You can see the complete list of nominees across all the categories on the Dragon Awards website. Anyone can vote in the awards, but you do have to register your email. DragonCon is scheduled for Sept. 1-5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
