SDCC | The TVA arrives in comics this winter

Katharyn Blair and Pere Perez bring the organization from ‘Loki’ and ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ to comics.

During their Marvel Fanfare panel at the San Diego Comic Con today, Marvel announced a new series featuring a well-known entity from the Marvel Cinematic Universe — the Time Variance Authority. The five-issue TVA miniseries will kick off in December.

Writer Katharyn Blair worked on the Disney+ series Loki series, which featured the organization prominently. She’ll join artist Pere Perez, who has worked on Edge of Spider-Verse — so he knows his way around the multiverse as well.

As revealed at the panel, the comic will tie together the comic version of the TVA and the MCU version, so expect to see a lot of familiar faces if you watched Loki or have seen Deadpool & Wolverine. It’ll also feature the comic book debut of Miss Minutes, as well as two of her Team Timely colleagues, Sir Seconds and Doc Clock:

In addition to characters from the MCU’s TVA, expect appearances by Spider-Gwen, Captain Carter and a heartbroken Gambit, as the TVA recruits heroes from around the multiverse to go on “on vital missions to repair wild temporal anomalies and keep reality itself from shattering.”

The first issue arrive sin stores Dec. 18.
