Welcome to Can’t Wait for Wednesday, your guide to what comics are arriving in comic book stores, bookstores and on digital.
I’ve pulled out some of the highlights for this week below, but for the complete list of everything you might find at your local comic shop and on digital this week, you’ll want to check out one or more of the following:
- Penguin Random House (Marvel + IDW + Dark Horse + more)
- Lunar Distribution (DC + Image + more)
- Diamond’s PreviewsWorld (Dynamite + more)
- ComicList (Pretty much all of the above)
- Amazon/Kindle new releases (digital comics)
As a reminder, things can change and what you find on the above lists may differ from what’s actually arriving in your local shop. With Diamond going through bankruptcy proceedings, distribution has become even more tumultuous, with deliveries and arrival dates changing. So check with your retailer to see what’s arriving at their shop.

One World Under Doom #1 (Marvel, $5.99): Marvel’s big summer event series Blood Hunt ended with Doctor Doom convincing Doctor Strange to pass on the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme to him in order to save the world from eternal darkness and the vampire threat — which Strange did reluctantly and Doom, in turn, fulfilled his part of the bargain with relative ease.
But Doom elected to turn his temporary assignment into a full-time job before heading back to Latveria to … well, do whatever Doom does. Until now, when Doom takes the center stage in this “anchor series” for Marvel’s big 2025 event. The five-issue miniseries is by Ryan North and artist R.B. Silva, and is the first of many tie-in comics coming this year.

Green Lantern Corps. #1 (DC, $3.99): The Green Lantern Corps soar into a new series as a part of DC’s All In initiative. Jeremy Adams, writer of the ongoing Green Lantern series, teams with co-writer Morgan Hampton and artists Fernando Pasarín and Oclair Albert on this new title featuring John Stewart, Jessica Cruz, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner, Jo Mullein and more.

Bug Wars #1 (Image Comics, $5.99): Writer Jason Aaron re-teams with Mahmud Asrar, who he worked with on Conan the Barbarian, for this new creator-owned six-issue series about a kid fighting bugs in his backyard — bugs that cast spells, swings swords and generally have it out for the kid’s family.

The Powerpuff Girls Valentine’s Mwha Mwah Kissy Face Special (Dynamite, $5.99): I just love the title of this one. Paulina Ganucheau and Savanna Ganucheau send Cupid’s arrow in Blossom’s direction, as she falls in love with a boy in her class.

Dick Tracy Valentine’s Day Special (Mad Cave, $6.99): This Valentine’s Day special starring the pulp detective features stories by Alex Segura, Michael Moreci, Steve Orlando, Craig Cermak, Brent Schoonover and more.

Creepshow in Love #1 (Skybound, $4.99): Creepshow gets in on the Valetnine’s Day fun with this one-shot anthology featuring stories by Mirka Andolfo, Patrick Horvath, Yul-Pyeong Oh and more.

Mine Is A Long Lonesome Grave #1 (Oni Press, $4.99): This four-issue miniseries by Justin Jordan and Chris Shehan is about an ex-con trying to flee his former life, until he’s cursed by someone in his hometown to die in seven days — unless he can find and kill the one who did it.

Deadpool Team-Up #5 (Marvel, $3.99): Rob Liefeld’s final Deadpool project — and apparently now his last work for Marvel — wraps up the team-up title that brought together Deadpool, Spider-Gwen, Crystar and more.

The Hive #1 (Image Comics, $3.99): A.J. Lieberman and Mike Henderson team for the story of a “worker bee” who crosses paths with a “queen” with immense powers trying to maintain control of her “hive.”

CamGirl #1 (AWA, $6.99): Sarah Cho and C.P Smith present this one-shot about an online “cam girl” whose life gets turned upside down when a stalker comes after her.

Eddie Brock: Carnage #1 (Marvel, $4.99): The original Venom has a brand new symbiote, Carnage, in this new series by Charles Soule and Jesus Saiz.
