Spider-Man, Eddie Brock and Mary Jane Watson’s individual stories have taken some interesting turns in recent months, but those three characters and all their new identities will collide in Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral.
The storyline, revealed at the New York Comic Con this week, will start in a one-shot this February, then continue in Amazing Spider-Man and Venom through April.
“One of the wildest times in Spider and Symbiote history revs into high gear with this killer crossover!” Editor Nick Lowe said. “Not only will readers get to witness Peter Parker learn that his longtime love Mary Jane Watson is bonded with one of his greatest nemeses, but both learn that Eddie Brock has paired with the baddest symbiote ever, Carnage. They’ll all be even more horrified when they face a scarier villain—TORMENT! No one is safe.”

This story will intertwine the worlds of Spider-Man, Venom and Carnage — AKA Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson and Eddie Brock — while introducing a new villain named Torment. Writers Joe Kelly, Al Ewing and Charles Soule will helm the event, joined by artists Ed McGuinness, Jesús Saíz and Carlos Gómez.
