Oni Press will launch a Kickstarter campaign for Covenant: The Final Chapter, the sixth volume of LySandra Vuong’s supernatural queer romance series, tomorrow.
The book will be available in stores in July 2027, but readers can reserve copies through the campaign next week. The popular Webtoon comic has had more than 20 million reads on the platform since it launched in 2020.
The series follows Sunny, a powerful exorcist with no faith in God, tasked with protecting a seemingly ordinary human from rising demonic forces.
“Covenant is a supernatural action series about faith, family, and finding your place in a world that expects you to be something you’re not,” Vuong said. “At its heart, it follows Sunny and Ezra as they navigate Heaven and Hell while learning who they are — and who they want to be.”
The finale sees Sunny and Ezra go rogue and descend into Hell to end the conflict once and for all, while finally revealing the truth behind Sunny’s parentage.
“Covenant Vol. 6 finally gives us answers to some of the biggest questions haunting the series,” said Vuong. “Who is Sunny’s dad? And what’s his end game? Will Sunny and Ezra actually face this thing that is growing between them while they try to stop him? This book contains everything I have been looking forward to bringing to life for a very long time.”
The Kickstarter will offer three deluxe foil-stamped hardcover editions: the slipcased “Tattooed Edition,” the signed and slipcased “Demonic Edition,” and the signed and slipcased “Holy Edition.” It’ll also include merchandise like tarot cards, pins, devotional candles, an enamel bookmark, prayer beads and a Covenant-branded crossbody bag, for which we have your first look:
