‘Hellverine’ races into an ongoing series this December

Benjamin Percy will continue to chronicle the adventures of the Wolverine/Ghost Rider mash-up, joined by artist Raffaele Ienco.

Hellverine, the Wolverine/Ghost Rider mash-up that debuted in last year’s Wolverine/Ghost Rider crossover and then landed his own miniseries, will continue to blaze a trail through the Marvel Universe in an ongoing series.

His co-creator, Benjamin Percy, will continue to write the character, joined by artist Raffaele Ienco. Initially Hellverine was a demon-possessed Wolverine, but Logan’s inner heroism turned the demon good. After Logan’s son Akihiro, a.k.a. Daken, was killed by Sabretooth, the demon brought him back to life as the new Hellverine.

“I had so much fun expanding the mythos of the demon Bagra-ghul and finding a way to not only bring Akihiro back from his savage death in Sabretooth War, but to explore some fresh possibilities for a complicated character I’ve always loved. And now? There’s more mayhem and occultism and hellfire on the horizon. I’m grateful to readers and retailers for their support, because a Hellverine ongoing is coming your way. All the Ghost Riders unite in ‘Spirits of Vengeance’

Sabir Pirzada and Sean Damien Hill bring together Johnny Blaze,Danny Ketch, Robbie Reyes and more this fall.

The many heroes (and villains) who have hosted the Spirit of Vengeance will assemble in a new title this September by writer Sabir Pirzada and artist Sean Damien Hill.

The aptly titled Spirits of Vengeance will bring together Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch, Robbie Reyes, The Hood and Kushala, as well as Michael Badilino, aka Vengeance.

“It’s finally time for Michael Badilino to make his long-awaited return as Vengeance, aided by the likes of Johnny Blaze, Danny Ketch and more,” Pirzada teased. “The bloody new era for the Spirits of Vengeance starts here—with a shocking ending you won’t see coming.”

Carnage reigns over Miles Morales this May

Alex Paknadel, Cody Ziglar, Julius Ohta and more will pit the “greener” Spider-Man against the sadistic symbiote.

Miles Morales and friends will face off with Carnage in a crossover event that will run through both their titles starting in May.

Carnage Reigns will kick off with an alpha issue by writers Alex Paknadel and Cody Ziglar, and artist Julius Ohta. The seven-part crossover will run through issues of Carnage, Miles Morales: Spider-Man and the recently launched Red Goblin. Oh, and Iron Man is involved, as Carnage is trapped in the “Extrembiote Armor” Tony Stark created during King in Black. The whole thing will wrap up in an omega issue in June.

“Carnage Reigns is an old-fashioned David and Goliath story pitting a greener Spider-Man against the most sadistic monster in the Marvel Universe—Cletus Kasady!” Paknadel explained to Bloody Disgusting. “Miles has only been this out of his depth on a handful of occasions, which is a gift from a storytelling perspective. I’ve really enjoyed crafting this tale with Cody Ziglar, and we’ve developed a really fun, really productive working shorthand and that fun is present on the page! We know this story will satisfy fans of both characters in their first-ever crossover!”
