Cast your vote for who should join the X-Men

Marvel once again gives fans the chance to pick who should join the X-Men.

Marvel is once again asking fans to vote for who they’d like to see join the X-Men, as they’ve done for the past two years. This year fans can choose from six characters — Dazzler, Cannonball, Frenzy, Juggernaut, Jubilee and Prodigy.

The voting window is pretty tight — you have until Friday of this week to cast your vote. The winner will be revealed this summer as part of the big Hellfire Gala storyline, which we now know ties into the bigger Fall of X crossover that’s coming later this year.

Marvel has provided campaign posters for each character with catchy slogans; here’s the one for Dazzler, who also coincidentally received my vote this year:

Can’t Wait for Comics | A new era of ‘Batman’ begins

Happy Fourth of July — or Happy Monday, depending on where you are in the world — and welcome to Can’t Wait for Comics, your guide to what comics are arriving in comic book stores, bookstores and on digital. This week sees Chip Zdarsky and Jorge Jimenez take over Batman, and Strange Academy and The Joker come to an end. And let’s not forget the white-hot Lore Olympus, as the popular Webtoon jumps to print for its second collection.

Netflix announces next Millarworld title ‘Prodigy’

Mark Millar and Rafael Albuquerque re-team for a new title about Edison Crane, a “Nobel-Prize winning scientist, a genius composer, an Olympic-level athlete and an expert in the occult.”

Mark Millar and Rafael Albuquerque will team up on a new title starring “world’s most exceptional man,” Netflix announced via press release.

Prodigy re-teams the creators of Huck on the second Millarworld title to be announced since the streaming giant bought the publishing line, following The Magic Order. What’s great is that this very comic book-y press release is up on Netflix’s media center, stuck right there between announcements that Fastest Car has been renewed and their CFO stepping down. Comics, am I right?
