BOOM! Studios has announced not just one but two different new series starring the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, both written by Ryan Parrott. The first, titled Mighty Morphin, will feature art by Marco Renna and the introduction of a mysterious Green Ranger:
The second series, which could only be called Power Rangers, will feature three of the original Power Rangers, now known as the Omega Rangers, teaming up with their enemy Lord Drakkon against a new cosmic threat. Francesco Mortarino is the artist on that title.
Both titles debut in November.
As a tie-in to the upcoming film of the same name, DC Comics and Walmart will release Wonder Woman 1984 #1 in September, featuring two different stories starring the Amazon. The first is by the film’s associate producer, Anna Obropta, and legendary editor/writer Louise Simonson. It’ll feature art by Bret Blevins (who collaborated with Simonson on New Mutants back in the day). The second story is by Steve Pugh and Marguerite Sauvage. Nicola Scott drew the cover. It arrives at Walmart around Sept. 20, and then will be in comic shops Sept. 29.
BOOM! Studios has revealed artwork and the creative team for their upcoming ‘Dune: House Atreides’ adaptation. According to the release, the 12-issue series will be adapted and scripted by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, who co-wrote the prequel novel based on Frank Herbert’s notes, and illustrated by artist Dev Pramanik and colorist Alex Guimarães.
Marvel has released a trailer for Maestro, the upcoming prequel to the classic Hulk: Future Imperfect series. Maestro is by Peter David, Dale Keown and Germán Peralta, and comes out in August.
Image Comics has revealed a cover for Ludocrats #4 by artist Mirka Andolfo. The penultimate issue of the miniseries by Kieron Gillen, Jim Rossignol, Jeff Stokely and Tamra Bonvillain comes out Aug. 19.
BOOM! Studios also announced this week a new science fiction miniseries called Origins by Arash Amel, Joseph Oxford, Lee Toland Krieger, Clay McLeod Chapman, Jakub Rebelka, Patricio Delpeche, Jim Campbell and Brian Kavanaugh-Jones. Wow, that’s a lot of people. Here’s how they describe it:

Archie Comics and Kate Spade will release a line of handbags and accessories featuring Betty and Veronica.
No Heroine is a new title by Frank Gogol, with art and colors by the father-daughter team of Criss Madd and Shawna Madd. The first issue comes out next week from Source Point Press; here’s a preview they sent over:
