‘Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus’ continues in ‘Die With Honor’ miniseries

Titan Comics returns to the world of the classic film in another series by Nancy Collins and Mariano Taibo.

Titan Comics has announced Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus: Die With Honor, a four-issue miniseries written by Nancy A. Collins and drawn by Mariano Taibo that continues the story they started in Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus — To Lose Is to Win.

The new series picks up the story of Stix, Mead and the dangerous world of bootleg replicants. After discovering that Stix and Mead are still alive, the head of Kalanthia’s bootleg replicant program orders Alura to kill them. Instead, she brings Stix into the fold, introducing him to a team of replicants who are clones of a team he worked with in the past.

Exclusive | Two new ‘Weird Tales’ comics join Monstrous’ Kickstarter campaign for the franchise’s first graphic novel

The hardcover will include comic adaptations of classic stories by Ray Bradbury, Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft and more.

Monstrous and Weird Tales Magazine are collaborating on the first-ever official Weird Tales graphic novel, currently funding on Kickstarter with more than 1,200 backers in its first two weeks. And we have an exclusive first look at two limited-edition saddle-stitch comics being offered as part of the campaign.

Weird Tales #1 is a 28-page floppy featuring “Doctor Satan vs. Jules de Grandin” by writer James Aquilone and artist Dave Swartz. It also includes an adaptation of “Ooze,” the very first story published in Weird Tales in 1923, by Weird Tales president John Harlacher and artist Zac Atkinson, who also provides the cover. Weird Tales #2, also 28 pages, features “The Cthulhu Project” by Richard Krepit and artist EV Cantada, and “The Abominable Professor Gaius” by Aquilone and Atkinson, again with a cover by Atkinson.

Ignition Press launches supernatural action thriller ‘Bad Thoughts’ in May

Ignition Press will publish Bad Thoughts, a new series from writer Ande Parks (Extraction) and artist Dave Wachter (Godzilla), beginning May 27. The series follows Jack Coates, a private security operative with the ability to look inside people’s minds and see every terrible thing they’ve ever thought or done, a gift that serves him well until he puts his trust in the wrong people.
