The new series premiered earlier this year in the Image! 30th anniversary anthology.
If you’ve been reading the Image! 30th anniversary anthology, then you are already familiar with Kaya, the new comic written and drawn by Deadly Class artist Wes Craig.
Kaya is the story of a young girl tasked with delivering her brother to a secret haven and has to fight her way across a brutal world filled with mutants and monsters.
“I’m putting every bit of heart, action, and fun that I can into each issue,” said Craig. “Kaya, her brother Jin and the strange world they live in are very real to me, and I think readers are gonna have a blast discovering it, month in, month out.”

The series will feature stories told in red and blue.
If Batman has his Black & White series, then naturally Superman would get a “red & Blue” one. DC announced this week Superman: Red & Blue, an anthology miniseries featuring the Man of Steel told in shades of red and blue (or magenta and cyan, to be specific).
The first issue will include a Clark Kent story by John Ridley, whose name is all over DC lately, with artist Clayton Henry. Brandon Easton and Steve Lieber will have a “street level” story set in Metropolis.

New Image Comics series will feature “steroid zombies, monster gods, swamp vampires, ghost storms and space monkeys.”
Deadly Class artist Wes Craig and Rodd Racer creator Tobey Cypress are teaming up for a 10-issue horror series, The Gravediggers Union, a new comic “chock-full of steroid zombies, monster gods, swamp vampires, ghost storms and space monkeys.” They’ll be joined by colorist Niko Guardia (The Last Contract, Hit 1957) and letterer/designer Jared Fletcher (Paper Girls).
“With The Gravediggers Union, I tried to create an environmental horror story that mixes EC Comics, H.P. Lovecraft’s horror and a lot of dark humor,” Craig said in a press release. “I’m so proud of what we’re creating, and what Toby, Niko and Jared are doing together is some of the most original looking comics I’ve ever seen.”
