Titan Comics, Bethesda announce three video game adaptations

Titan will create new ‘in-canon’ stories based on ‘The Evil Within 2,’ ‘Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’ and ‘Dishonored 2.’

Bethesda Software announced several new projects at the big E3 video game show this past month, including The Evil Within 2, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and new downloadable content for Dishonored 2. And all three of those games will have comic book tie-ins, thanks to publisher Titan Comics. All three comics arrive in September.

First up, Titan will publish a lead-in to The Evil Within 2, the survival horror title created by Shinji Mikami. Per the publisher, “The Evil Within comic book series finds Detective Sebastian Castellanos still shell-shocked by the horrific events that took place at the Beacon Mental Hospital, and reluctantly pulled back into Mobius’ macabre world when a gruesome serial killer unleashes a new kind of hell onto KRIMSON CITY.”

It will be written by Ryan O’Sullivan with art by Damien Worm and Szymon Kudranski. It comes out Sept. 6.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus also gets the prequel treatment, as Dan Watters, Piotr Kowalski and Ronilson Freire, as they tell the tale of B.J. Blaskowicz’s fight against the Nazis in occupied America. Look for it on Sept. 13.

Finally Michael Moreci, Andrea Olimpieri and Mattia Iacono tell a new story about Emily Kaldwin and her dad, Corvo Attano, in Dishonored: The Peeress and the Price. In it, Emily comes into conflict with a politician named Archibald Dufrane, and in true Dishonored fashion, there is also a “mysterious killer on the loose – but when Emily’s powers start to falter in the middle of their investigation, things start to get deadly…” Look for it Sept. 27.
