Tradd Moore’s ‘Touch Me Someplace Nowhere’ launches next year from Oni Press

The cartoonist behind ‘Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise’ and ‘Luther Strode’ will write, draw and color this NYC gangland epic.

Oni Press has announced Touch Me Someplace Nowhere, a new creator-owned series written, illustrated and colored entirely by Tradd Moore that’ll come out in 2027.

The series follows Kelly Muir, the prodigal child of a powerful New York City crime family, on a self-destructive, lovesick bender through drug-infused Brooklyn after dark. Set in an alternate New York City where street gangs compete for dominance and literal wild animals roam the streets, the comic follows a cascading cast of outsiders through violent and turbulent misadventures across a single night.

“This comic stretches a gonzo tightrope between camp genres I love over unresolved feelings that pang; I’m thrilled to dance on it with my tongue out. Romantic, perilous, and aching,” Moore said.

Moore first broke through in 2011 as the artist of The Strange Talent of Luther Strode, which was written by Justin Jordan and published by Image Comics. He later introduced Robbie Reyes as the new Ghost Rider at Marvel, drew Silver Surfer: Black with writer Donny Cates, and made his writing debut with Doctor Strange: Fall Sunrise in 2023, which earned him his first Eisner Award nomination. Touch Me Someplace Nowhere marks his first project as the sole writer and artist on creator-owned material.

Touch Me Someplace Nowhere conjures visions of Shakespeare by way of Paul Thomas Anderson in what is sure to be a masterful and unforgettable expression of comic book and poetic storytelling,” said Oni Press Editor-In-Chief Sierra Hahn. “Tradd’s rich cast of characters are steeped in style, conviction, and desire. Readers will fall in love with Kelly and the multifaceted tapestry of her life in this wild adventure.”

Moore will appear at the San Diego Comic-Con beginning July 22, and Oni Press will host a career retrospective spotlight panel. An exclusive 9-by-12-inch art print limited to 500 copies will be available while supplies last at the Oni booth.
