Daisy Thunder returns to Riverdale in this preview of ‘World of Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest’ #36

Check out an exclusive preview of a new story coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Courtesy of Archie Comics, we’re delighted to present a preview of a new story from World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #36, which arrives in stores Oct. 23. It features the entire Archie gang as they head to the racetrack to see former Riverdale resident and current racing superstar Daisy Thunder.

Daisy Thunder made her debut earlier this year in the pages of Archie & Friends: Hot Rod Racing. She’s a Southside Serpent who knew Archie and the gang back when they were kids. Even though she’s gone on to become a famous race car driver, she still remembers all her friends — well, almost all her friends.

The new story is written by Craig Boldman, with artwork by Bill Galvan, colors by Glenn Whitmore and letters by Jack Morelli. Check out the preview below, along with a classic Archie story from the digest by Frank Doyle and Dan DeCarlo.

The Wicked Trinity brings trouble to movie night for Sabrina in this preview of ‘Archie Jumbo Comics’ #352

Check out an exclusive preview of a new story coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Seeing Sabrina the Teenage Witch in the classic Riverdale setting is always magical, but in this preview of Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #352, her appearance unfortunately comes with some baggage — in the form of her nemesis, Amber Nightstone, and her Wicked Trinity minions.

Fresh off their recent appearance in their own one-shot, Amber, Jade Kazane and Sapphire Gill are looking to make trouble for Sabrina as she attempts to set up a “horror movie fest” for her friends in Riverdale. But I’m sure Sabrina and Salem have some tricks of their own in store for the Wicked Trinity.

The story is by Tania Del Rio, with art by Holly G! and Jim Amash, coloring by Glenn Whitmore and lettering by Jack Morelli, and a cover by Dan Parent.

Check out the preview below:

Jughead + Jaguar are up to their necks in gangsters in this preview of ‘World of Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest’ #32

The U.G.A.J. returns to comics, but does it stand for “United Girls Against Jughead” or “United Gangsters Against Jaguar”?

Courtesy of Archie Comics, we’re pleased to present a preview of a new story featuring Jughead, Jaguar, Superteen and Powerteen from World of Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #32, which comes out May 1.

The story calls back to an organization from the 1960s Jughead comics — United Girls Against Jughead. Because Jughead was anti-romance, the girls of Riverdale were afraid his opinions might influence the other boys he hung around with. So they formed U.G.A.J., and came up with plans to undermine him, like using food to try to lure him into a romantic relationship of his own. Man, the 1960s, am I right?

In this new story by Francis Bonnet, Rex Lindsey and Glenn Whitmore, Jughead discovers a secret hideout marked with the letters “UGAJ,” but they mean something different here — “United Gangsters Against Jaguar,” the heroine who recently starred in her own one-shot. When both Jughead and Jaguar are captured by the gangsters, it’s up to Betty and Veronica, as Powerteen and Superteen, to save them.

Check out the preview below, along with a complete, classic Sabrina the Teenage Witch story.

Our preview this week is a fun one, as writer Tom DeFalco, artists Steven Butler and Jim Amash, colorist Glenn Whitmore and letterer Jack Morelli pay tribute to a Christmas classic. A Visit from St. Nicholas, the poem by Clement Clarke Moore, gets turned on its head as Pureheart the Powerful and Pow-Girl hear the “clatter” of super-villain activity before Christmas.

The Superteens face a shapeshifting crisis in this preview of ‘Archie Jumbo Comics Digest’ #344

Check out an exclusive preview of two new stories coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Courtesy of Archie Comics, we’re pleased to present a preview of two new stories from Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #344, which comes out Oct. 4.

All the Crusaders assemb — er, come together in a new story by Francis Bonnet and Rex Lindsey, who are joined by colorist Glenn Whitmore. It has more superheroes than you can shake a Crisis at, but not all is as it seems on Halloween in Riverdale …

The second story, also set on Halloween, features The WEB showing up at the Lodge mansion for a party — and then running away with a fortune. The Superteens have to figure out if this WEB is really The WEB or just an impersonator. It’s by Dan Parent, Bob Smith, Whitmore and Jack Morelli.

Check out both previews below, along with a classic Fall-themed Archie story.

Take a Ditko-esque trip into the ‘Topsy Turvey’ with Jake Chang and Archie [Preview]

Check out an exclusive preview of two new stories coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Archie Comics has shared a preview with us of World of Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #133, which will feature two new stories in addition to a whole lot of classic material.

The first story features Archie falling into something called the “Topsy Turvey” — think The Upside-Down by way of Steve Ditko — and detective Jake Chang has to figure out how to get him out (with some help from Vegas, Archie’s dog). Tom DeFalco, Steven Butler and Jim Amash present this strange adventure.

Then, Dan Parent and Bob Smith bring together the Superteens and She-Fox to face the menace of Metra. This mullet-sporting villain can control time and space, but seems very hung up on the 1980s, much to our heroes’ dismay.

Colorist Glenn Whitmore and letterer Jack Morelli are on board for both stories, which arrive in next week’s digest. Check out the previews below, along with a complete classic Little Archie story featuring a new friend from outer space.

Ghost Fox takes a radical trip back in time in this preview of ‘Archie Jumbo Comics’ #343

Check out an exclusive preview of two new stories coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

If you’re still coming to terms with the fact that Riverdale has aired its last episode ever, fear not — the comic book adventures of Archie and his friends continue every week. And this week, thanks to Archie Comics, we have a preview of two new stories appearing in next week’s Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #343.

The first story features Archie, Dilton and Moose helping out Nevada Jones with harvesting the Nevada Orchard fruit trees, with a little “help” from Dilton’s drones. Things do not go well in this story by Ian Flynn, Pat Kennedy, Jim Amash, Glenn Whitmore and Jack Morelli.

In the second story, Ghost Fox is preoccupied with 1985 when he is accidentally transported back in time thanks to one of Dilton’s machines. (Are we sure it’s a good idea for this kid to have access to technology?) This totally tubular story is by Dan Parent and Bob Smith, along with Whitmore and Morelli.

Check them both out below, along with a classic Archie story featuring Archie cowboying up after a relative gifts him a pair of boots.
