Jed MacKay and Marcelo Ferreira will continue the story of the fall and rise of Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme in Strange, a new series set to debut in March.
Strange follows The Death of Doctor Strange, the miniseries that is currently chronicling the murder of Stephen Strange, the introduction of a younger version of himself (Magic!) and the return of Clea, Doctor Strange’s longtime love interest/wife/fellow magic user.
And in the new series, she becomes much more than just that.

Timeless, one of the eight new tentpole titles coming out this winter that Marvel announced last week, will arrive in December with a boom — but without Joe Bennett.
The Immortal Hulk artist was originally announced to be working on the one-shot, but as confirmed by Newsarama, the artist will not be working on any future Marvel projects. While Marvel did not give a reason, Bennett has been in the news lately both for the anti-semitic imagery being displayed in the background of a panel of Immortal Hulk and for a controversial drawing he did of Brazil President Jair Messias Bolsonaro.

Marvel revealed today eight new titles for the coming winter that they’re referring to as “tentpole” titles — or titles that “will shape the future of the Marvel Universe in the months to come.”
Marvel announced earlier this month plans to reveal several new projects today in celebration of their birthday — so, Happy Birthday, Marvel!
The projects range from event titles to new ones featuring some characters you’ll soon see on Disney+.

Marvel’s Infinite Destinies event, which has been running in their annuals this summer and in the pages of the Black Cat ongoing, will wrap up in November with Giant-Size Black Cat: Infinity Score.
Writer Jed MacKay and artist C.F. Villa will bring the story featuring the Infinity Stones — and, it appears, the Black Cat ongoing — to its conclusion.

The upcoming The Death of Doctor Strange miniseries won’t send the Master of the Mystical Arts off into the great beyond quietly. Marvel has announced several tie-ins that show the “major impact” his death has on the rest of Earth — and on the Avengers, Spider-Man, White Fox and Strange Academy in particular.
If you haven’t heard, the Sorcerer Supreme will follow in the footsteps of many other heroes who were killed in the line of battle in what’s turning out to be more than just a miniseries, but an entire event. Jed MacKay and Lee Garbett are the creative team for the main miniseries, which kicks off next month.
Then in October, Marvel will release two specials, featuring the Avengers and Strange Academy. Alex Paknadel and Ryan Bodenheim will team up for The Death of Doctor Strange: Avengers, while Skottie Young and Mike Del Mundo will helm Strange Academy Presents: The Death of Doctor Strange. Then, in November, Jed MacKay and Marcelo Ferreira present The Death of Doctor Strange: Spider-Man, while Alyssa Wong and Andie Tong bring The White Fox into the action.

In September, a Marvel character will once again face death’s door in The Death of Doctor Strange, a five-issue miniseries by Jed MacKay and Lee Garbett.
The Sorcerer Supreme will follow in the footsteps of Captain America, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, Batman and many other heroes who were killed in the line of battle.
“‘What happens to the world if Doctor Strange isn’t in it?’ It’s a question that I’m excited to show people the answer to in Death of Doctor Strange,” MacKay told Marvel.com. “Strange has been a Marvel fixture from the early days, but now, his time has run out and as a Strange fan, it’s been my bittersweet privilege to shepherd him through his last day and the effects that snowball out of it. We’ve cooked up a whale of a story to send Strange off with, and I can’t wait for people to join us on it!”

With his Disney+ TV show on the horizon, Moon Knight will return to comics in July with a new ongoing series by Black Cat writer Jed MacKay and Power Rangers artist Alessandro Cappuccio.
The series spins out of Moon Knight’s recent appearance in Avengers.
“I’m very excited to be working with Alessando Cappuccio on the continuing adventures of one of Marvel’s biggest messes – Moon Knight!” MacKay told Marvel.com. “In the wake of his disastrous attempt to take over the world in the “Age of Khonshu,” Marc Spector (et al) has retreated to what he knows – busting heads on the streets. But despite betraying his god to the Avengers, the Fist of Khonshu’s obligations remain the same – to protect those traveling at night. Apostate priest of the moon god, the mysterious Mr. Knight has opened the doors of his Midnight Mission, where those in fear of the weird and strange may petition for the aid of the Moon Knight! But this doesn’t sit well with everyone, and hidden threats circle Marc’s new start from the shadows…”

Last summer the “Infinite Destinies” storyline was supposed to run through several Marvel annuals, including Iron Man, Captain America, Black Cat and Thor, among others. The story revolves around the returning “infinity stones,” those pesky don’t-call-them-infinity-gems MacGuffins that regularly take center stage at Marvel.
Anyway, like with many other things, the COVID pandemic and comics industry shutdown threw a wrench in Marvel’s plans, and those annuals were never released. But now it looks like they are back on the schedule for 2021, with an added prelude comic to kick things off — Black Cat #8 by Jed MacKay and C.F. Villa.
“Felicia Hardy- the Black Cat- gets tangled up with the Infinity Stones, some of the most dangerous prizes in the universe. Felicia may be the most accomplished jewel thief on the planet, but when those jewels hold the power of the cosmos, it’s a whole new ball game. Felicia is in a race against the others who would seek to control the stones for their own ends- like Nick Fury (and a secret someone you won’t see coming!),” MacKay said. “Who can cross the world’s most dangerous men, wrangle a pack of villains hopped up on fragments of infinite power, (hopefully) get the job done and look great all the while? BOOM! Studios has announced that they’ve acquired the rights to publish comics based on Magic: The Gathering, the popular card game made by Wizards of the Coast. They plan to start publishing Magic: The Gathering comics in April with, appropriately, a comic called Magic.
Writer Jed MacKay, artist Ig Guara, colorist Arianna Consonni and letterer Ed Dukeshire are the creative team for Magic, which will feature names and concepts that most Magic: The Gathering fans will recognize.
“Magic: The Gathering is more than a game—it’s a rich, expansive multiverse and mythology you can really live in and spend an infinite amount of time traversing. This all-new and unique story we’re launching into is full of beloved characters and shocking reveals from the world of Magic that are going to entertain readers new to the brand and surprise lifelong fans in the best possible ways,” said Bryce Carlson, Vice President, Editorial & Creative Strategy, BOOM! Studios. “Jed, Ig, Arianna, Ed, all of our incredible cover artists, and the entire team at BOOM! With the success and critical acclaim that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse received — not to mention the awesome Spidersona artwork pros and fans created after seeing it — it makes sense that Marvel would make more Spider-Verse comics.
Coming in October, they’re doing just that — writer Jed MacKay and a bunch of artists will take Miles Morales on a six-issue tour of the multiverse. MacKay will work with Juan Frigeri, Arthur Adams, Stuart Immonen, Stacey Lee and more, according to Marvel.com.
