‘Marvel’s Voices: Avengers’ anthology assembles in December

Robbie Thompson, Sid Kotian, Justina Ireland and more will tell stories featuring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Marvel’s next “Voices” anthology will spotlight members of the Avengers, bringing together a diverse group of talent to tell stories featuring Captain America, Photon, Robbie Reyes and more.

The anthology series, which originated from a podcast on Marvel.com with the same name, has been published since 2020. It spotlights “diverse storytellers and their journeys,” as well as characters from diverse backgrounds. This year Marvel began spotlighting specific character groups, like the Spider-Verse characters, the X-Men and the citizens of Wakanda, in stories by diverse creators.

Marvel’s Voices: The Avengers will include the following stories, with more to come:

  • Actor Utkarsh Ambudkar of the TV show Ghosts and artist Tadam Gyadu will have an Iron Man story that features Tony Stark helping a struggling super villain.
  • Writer Robbie Thompson and artist Sid Kotian will “explore the American values that Captain America has always stood for as he has a thrilling showdown with his archenemy, Red Skull!”
  • TV write, podcast host and Marvel fan Jason Concepcion and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers artist Moisés Hidalgo bring Robbie Reyes, aka Ghost Rider, back to comics following his role in the Avengers Assemble crossover.
  • Writer Justina Ireland and artist Karen Darboe bring readers to the stars where Monica Rambeau, AKA Photon, has to use her one-of-a-kind expertise and training to fend off a new cosmic threat.

Taurin Clarke drew the main cover, shown above, with Ethan Young and Paco Medina providing variants:

Look for the anthology to arrive in stores on Dec. 6.
