Check out two new stories coming to next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Courtesy of Archie Comics, we’re pleased to present a preview of two new stories from Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #342, which comes out July 26.

The first one features the return of Fu Chang, International Detective, as he helps out Archie and the gang on the set of a movie shoot at Lodge Mansion. When a few of the extras on the set acting as criminals turn out to be the real thing, Fu Chang steps into action. This one is by writer Francis Bonnet, with art and letters by Rex Lindsey and colors by Glenn Whitmore.

In the second one, the Boy Buddies are back to help out Little Archie and his pals against Mad Dr. Doom, who uses an app on people’s phones to hypnotize them. Dan Parent wrote and drew this completely fictional tale, with inks by Bob Smith, colors by Glenn Whitmore and letters by Jack Morelli.

Check out both previews below, along with a classic Little Archie story by Bob Bolling and Chic Stone.

A killer doll runs wild and Betty gets a superhero upgrade in this preview of ‘World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest’ #27

The Boy Buddies and Mr. Justice return to Riverdale in two new stories appearing in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Courtesy of Archie Comics, we’re pleased to present a preview of two new stories from World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #27, which comes out July 19.

This week we start with an homage to the already classic killer-doll-run-wild movie M3GAN, as the Little Archies call in the Boy Buddies to help them stop M1N3RVA 2.0, a doll Little Dilton brought to life with an AI upgrade. This one is by Ron Robbins, Steven Butler, Bob Smith, Glenn Whitmore and Jack Morelli.

Then, in the second story, Mr. Justice is back in Riverdale looking for another sidekick — I guess things didn’t go so well with Moose — and this time he has his sights set on Superteen, aka Betty Cooper. Ian Flynn, Bill Golliher and Jim Amash team with Whitmore and Morelli on this one.

Check out both stories below, along with a complete classic Veronica story by Jamie L. Rotante and Dan Parent.

Mr. Justice and Darkling help keep Riverdale’s summer interesting and fun in these previews of two new stories coming in World of Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #131, which arrives in stores July 5.

In the first story, Reggie is up to his old tricks until Moose calls him on it — which brings the attention of Mr. Justice. The gallant Moose is rewarded with super powers for his efforts, much to the chagrin of that goofus Reggie. It’s courtesy of writer Ian Flynn, artists Bill Galvan and Jim Amash, colorist Glenn Whitmore and letterer Jack Morelli.

Then in the second story, we find out that the mystical hero Darkling, who doesn’t like beaches, isn’t a fan of fireworks, either. When she tries to make them more to her liking, something goes wrong. This one is written and drawn by Dan Parent, with Bob Smith on inks. They’re joined by Whitmore and Morelli as well.

Check out both previews below, as well as a complete classic Archie story by J. Torres and Craig Boldman.

Check out an exclusive preview of two new stories coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Archie Comics has shared a preview with us of World of Archie Jumbo Comics #130, which will include two new stories featuring some fun seasonal activities.

In “Spring Breaking and Entering,” Archie’s superhero alter ego, Pureheart, teams up with Fly Girl to try and save Spring Break from the classic villains Smash & Grab. You know someone’s a villain when they wear a striped shirt, right? The masks don’t help, either. This one is written by Ian Flynn, with art by Steven Butler and Jim Amash.

Next, in “Can’t Top This,” the villainous Kennel Kween interrupts the Riverdale Hot Air Balloon Show and steals a balloon! It’s up to Inferno the Fire Breather to set things right. Flynn wrote this one as well, which features artwork by Bill Galvan and Bob Smith. Glenn Whitmore and Jack Morelli provided coloring and lettering, respectively, for both stories.

Check out the previews below, along with a complete classic Archie tale by George Gladir and Dan Parent that features Hiram Lodge accidentally gaining super powers.

Heroes unite in this preview of ‘Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics #314’

Check out an exclusive look at new stories by Tom DeFalco, Rex Lindsey, Ian Flynn, Ryan Jampole and more.

Archie Comics has shared a preview with us of Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics #314, which will feature two new stories in addition to a whole lot of classic material.

Over the past couple years, Archie has been re-introducing some of their classic superhero characters in these digests, teaming them up with the gang from Riverdale. We’ve seen everyone from Pow-Girl to The Web to Fly-Girl appear, and in this issue, a lot of those threads come together. The villainous Blast Master is causing havoc in Riverdale, and the SuperTeens put out the call for assistance from the Mighty Crusaders, Bob Phantom and even the Power Pets. It’s a who’s who of the Archie Universe, written by Tom DeFalco with art by Rex Lindsey and Glenn Whitmore.

The second story, which is by Ian Flynn, Ryan Jampole, Whitmore and Jack Morelli, puts the focus on the new Fly-Girl and Evilheart, the “heroic” identity of Reggie. Is he good or evil? Is he trying to help, or just looking out for himself? Fly-Girl has to figure that out.

Check out previews of both stories below. Archie Comics also provided a complete “Betty and Veronica” story from years past by Bob Bolling, where they imagine what it would be like to live underwater. (I dig the colors on Archie’s outfit.) The digest will go on sale May 24.

In today’s preview, for the story “Hiding in Plain Sight” by Ian Flynn, Rex Lindsey, Glenn Whitmore and Jack Morelli, Archie discovers his new friend Wyatt — aka the classic Archie super-spy character The Web — is trying to suss out the identity of Pureheart the Powerful. But holy eyeglasses, Batman — Archie IS Pureheart!

The Web comes to Riverdale in ‘Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest’ #313

Check out an exclusive preview of two new stories coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Courtesy of Archie Comics, we’re happy to present a preview of two new stories from Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #313, which comes out April 19.

The publisher continues to team their vintage superhero characters with the Riverdale gang in this volume, starting with a character I don’t think we’ve seen yet in one of these digests — The Web. The character first debuted in the 1940s and has been brought back several times since then as part of the various Mighty Crusaders revamps over the year. In this story, the Web is actually Wyatt Raymond, the son of the original Web and original Pow-Girl. When Veronica’s purse goes missing, he uses his sleuthing know-how to help her find it. Writer Ian Flynn teams with Dan Parent, Bob Smith, Glenn Whitmore and Jack Morelli on this one.

Then in the second story, Dr. Zardox and his giant robotic death machine are on a rampage in Riverdale, and it’s up to the Crusaders and the Superteens to stop the madness. This one is also written by Flynn, with art by Bill Galvan, Jim Amash, Whitmore and Morelli.

Check out the previews for both stories below along with the credits and description, as well as a complete classic story written and drawn by Dan Parent.

Pureheart teams with the Crusaders in ‘Archie Jumbo Comics Digest’ #339

Check out an exclusive preview of two new stories coming in next week’s digest from Archie Comics.

Courtesy of Archie Comics, we’re pleased to present a preview of two new stories from Archie Jumbo Comics Digest #339, which comes out April 12.

Over the past few months we’ve previewed stories featuring Archie and the gang teaming up with various members of the Mighty Crusaders, but this preview has not just one Crusader member, but the entire team! Pureheart — Archie’s superhero identity — teams up with Victoria Shield, Inferno, She-Fox and more to face the wrath of the giant rock monster known as Bronto. This one is written by Ian Flynn, with artwork by Steven and Lily Butler, letters by Jack Morelli and coloring by Glenn Whitmore.

In the second story, Shinji — who you might know better as Ghost Fox — goes on a date with Kevin Keller, all while his mother, She-Fox, battles a prehistoric villain named Dino Rex. This one is also written by Flynn, with art by Holly G! and Bob Smith.

Check both previews out below, along with a complete Archie story drawn by Stan Goldberg.

Who’s really helping She-Fox in this preview of ‘World of Betty and Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest’ #24?

Check out exclusive previews for two new stories from Archie’s upcoming digest, which arrives in stores on April 5.

Courtesy of our friends at Archie Comics, we’re happy to present a preview of two new stories from World of Betty & Veronica Jumbo Comics Digest #24, which comes out April 5.

In the first preview, there’s some confusion over who is the real hero when She-Fox and Skulk recruit Superteen and Powerteen — that’s Betty and Veronica in their masked identities — to help them battle their foe. This one is by Ian Flynn, Holly G!, Jim Amash, Glenn Whitmore and Jack Morelli.

Then in the second new story, Pow-Girl, who returned to action a couple of weeks ago, recruits Betty and Veronica to help her against the criminal gang the Yellowjackets (luckily there’s no confusion over who the bad guys are here!) That leads to the girls asking Pow-Girl about her secret origin. This one is by Tom DeFalco, Dan Parent and Bob Smith, joined by Whitmore and Morelli on colors and letters.

Check out the previews for both stories below along with the credits and description, as well as a full classic mystery story written by Bob Bolling of Little Archie fame.
